With this series, my goal was to create something that takes the humble notebook to the next level. The designs vary from simple geometric patterns to intricate floral motifs that enhance the effect of laser cuts on paper. I chose complementary colours purposely to magnify the contrast created by each stencil with their underlying endleaves.
Besides being eye-catching, the notebooks were created in two sizes with versatile page layouts for a varied user experience. I paid particular attention to the binding process in order to ensure a perfect balance between form and function. The use of different textured paper for the cover along with laser cuts added a level of finesse that outshines a regular printed cover.
